A teenager accused of two firearms offences was remanded into custody on Monday.

Xymeir Williams, 18, was charged with discharging bullets from a gun and conspiring with others to import a firearm without a licence when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court.

He allegedly discharged bullets on May 24 and is alleged to have conspired to import a weapon between an unknown date and June 3.

The Warwick resident was not required to enter pleas to the offences because the case must be heard in the Supreme Court.

Magistrate Craig Attridge sent the case to the October 5 arraignments and remanded Mr Williams into custody until that time.
