A jet-ski rider was fined $100 for speeding on his machine.

Taj Maxwell, 24, from Warwick, appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday and pleaded guilty to the offence of going too fast in the water and causing a wake.

The incident took place at Ferry Reach, St George’s, on July 31 and he was charged with creating a wake at that location.

Magistrate Maria Sofianos imposed a $100 penalty.
