Three men charged with unlawful killing of Marcus Wilson

Three men appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday, charged with the fatal stabbing of Marcus Wilson.

Isiah Smith, 23, from Devonshire; Jaja DeSilva, 24, also from Devonshire; and Omari Williams, 18, from Warwick were charged with the unlawful killing of Mr Wilson on August 20 in Warwick.

Mr Smith and Mr Williams were also charged with possessing a knife with a blade longer than three inches in a public place.

Since the offences are indictable and must be heard in the Supreme Court, none of the men were required to enter into a plea.

Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson sent their case to the Supreme Court, where it will be mentioned during the arraignment sessions on October 3.

Ms Anderson ordered that the three defendants be remanded in custody until August 31 for bail applications.
