Under-15 cricketers warm up for Americas challenge
Bermuda’s Under-15 national cricket team are grooving their way into form at a three-day training camp in preparation for this month’s ICC Americas Northern Division Championship in Winnipeg, Canada.
Head coach David Moore has been putting the 14-player squad through their paces at the National Sports Centre ahead of the 40-over tournament, where Bermuda will face USA and Canada.
Moore said: “The aim of the training camp is to help prepare our Under-15 players for the upcoming ICC Americas Regional Northern Division Championship.
“The team will be facing USA and Canada in this double round robin 40-over tournament and the players will need to be at the top of their game to bring home the trophy.”
During the training camp, the team have been working on their fitness levels, running between the wickets and fielding.
Moore added: “There will be a strong focus on running between the wickets and fielding which to win these tournament is of the highest order.”
The tournament runs from August 21-26.
Bermuda’s Under-15 team: Antonio Darrell (Capt.), Christion Gibbons-Wade, Alex Dore, Janhoi Bean-Wilson, Delray Rawlins, Joshua Commissiong, Demiko James, Joshua Liyanage, Detre Bell, Keishun Smith, Cejay Outerbridge, Khalif Williams, Cameron Gordon and Micah Perozzi. .
