A clash between gang members reportedly took place at the Southampton Oval last night, leading to a chase through Somerset.While a police spokesman was last night unable to confirm the incident, it is understood that following an altercation at the club during the game between Southampton Rangers and Dandy Town three men were chased into Somerset.Police are believed to have arrested at least one suspect thought to be involved in the incident.On Friday, the police service promised increased patrols and road checks in anticipation of retaliatory action following an incident on Thursday afternoon at the corner of Court and Victoria Street in which a gun was brandished.No shots were fired in the incident, but the police spokesman warned: “The potential for a reprisal attack cannot be discounted. Therefore, the Bermuda Police Service will increase operations throughout the Island this weekend.”
