Lord’s (Somerset won toss): Somerset Cricket Club (10pts) bt St George’s by 46 runsKamau Leverock blazed his way to a second successive century to guide Somerset to a 46-run win on Duckworth/Lewis over St George’s in the Premier Division Twenty20 competition at Lord’s yesterday.The opening batsman thumped an unbeaten 126 from 56 deliveries, which included 11 sixes and nine fours, to lay the foundation for Somerset’s total of 185 for three after electing to bat.Leverock dominated an 88-run first-wicket partnership with Chris Douglas and capitalised on some loose bowling with an array of powerful hitting that kept the fielders chasing leather and the scoreboard ticking over.He reached his half-century off 23 balls with a single off Treadwell Gibbons and his hundred off 47 balls after scampering through for another single off Detroy Smith, who bore the brunt of his swashbuckling knock.The milestone was the 25-year-old’s second on the trot, having stroked 119 from 42 balls in Somerset’s previous outing against Willow Cuts.“This is the first time I’ve gone back to back [centuries] so this [innings] is definitely up there,” Leverock said.“I’ve been hitting it well for the last three weeks and I was a bit unlucky against Rangers.
