BCB teams up with OnTrack for big tournaments

The Bermuda Cricket Board has joined forces with OnTrack as the endorsed ticketing partner for two big tournaments coming up in September.

OnTrack will provide ticket services for the inaugural Bermuda Premier League and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Regional.

“The BCB is pleased to announce an official partnership with local sports app OnTrack as the official ticketing partner for the 2023 Bermuda Premier League and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Regional,’’ the BCB said.

The inaugural edition of the BPL will be held from September 6 to 10, followed by the regional from September 30 to October 7, a tournament where Bermuda will be competing for the final spot to the World Cup next year.

National Sports Centre’s North Field and White Hill Field are the venues for both tournaments.

In terms of the agreement, OnTrack, founded by young Bermudian tech entrepreneurs, footballers as well as sport enthusiasts Shannon Burchall and Roger Lee will be the official hub for all event ticket sales and tent spots that will be available for purchase at both venues.

“OnTrack Bermuda is pleased to partner with the Bermuda Cricket Board to provide ticketing services to the Bermuda Premier League and ICC T20 World Cup Americas Regional,’’ Burchall said.

“OnTrack strives to bridge the gap between sports and technology by bringing sports to the fingertips of all Bermudians — both locally and overseas. We are looking forward to ensuring that the upcoming events are a first-class experience and thank the BCB for their continuous belief in our brand”.

Rajan Simons, the BCB marketing and fund development manager, said the decision to engage OnTrack came after wide consultations. In May, the cricket board sent out a request for proposal, which provided an opportunity for service providers to enter into partnerships to conduct business during the two prestigious competitions.

“After an extensive decision-making process with an external panel and multiple submissions through our event request for proposal, we are excited to announce the continuation of our longstanding partnership with OnTrack,’’ Simons said.

“The BCB through the upcoming tournaments will provide OnTrack with enhanced international exposure, in addition to their domestic experience of servicing and ticketing events such as the annual Eastern Counties.”
