Horan, O’Brien and Tomlinson called up by Bermuda for T20 World Cup
The Bermuda Cricket Board has announced the squad that will represent the island in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Sub-Regional Group Qualifier at North Field, National Sports Centre, from June 21 to 27.
The squad will be led by captain Terryn Fray and also includes vice-captain Sinclair Smith, Delray Rawlins, Derrick Brangman, Onias Bascome, Jonté Smith, Dominic Sabir, Isaiah O’Brien, Zeko Burgess, Luke Horan, Zeri Tomlinson, Chare Smith, Nzari Paynter and Charles Trott.
Bermuda will be hoping to capitalise on home advantage in the tournament which forms part of the qualification pathway for the World Cup in 2028 and will feature five competing nations from across the Americas region.
The tournament features the senior men’s team taking on Bahamas, Belize, Brazil and Panama, with the sides facing off in a round-robin format with only the group winner advancing to the next stage of qualifying.
The BCB has urged the public to come out and support the national team throughout the competition.
