Steven Bremar Jr thumped an aggressive century that laid the foundation for Cleveland County’s convincing 284-run win over nine-man Devonshire in a high- scoring First Division 50 overs encounter at Lord’s on Sunday.

The experienced wicketkeeper blasted 125 from 90 balls, which included six sixes and eleven boundaries, and also added 154 runs for the fourth wicket with Jermal Proctor (86) and 77 for the fifth with Clay Darrell (50 not out) as Cleveland piled up 346 for five after electing to take first strike at the crease.

Isaiah Greaves (three for three) and Proctor (three for 17) then led Cleveland’s bowling as Devonshire were dismissed for 62 in 17.4 overs.

Elsewhere, Flatts beat hosts Somerset Bridge by five wickets at White Hill Field.

Treadwell Gibbons (three for 25), Xavien James (three for 27) and captain Kijaun Franks (two for 26) claimed eight wickets between them as Bridge posted 196 for nine after electing to bat.

Reginald Baker (69 not out), Gibbons (53) and Franks (39) then led the chase as the visitors replied with 197 for five in 38.2 overs.
