BCB celebrates men’s North American Cricket Cup victory
The Bermuda Cricket Board and all member clubs have extended “their warmest congratulations to the Bermuda Senior Men’s National Cricket Team on their triumphant victory at the 2026 North American Cricket Cup in the Cayman Islands”.
In a statement, the Board said the performance demonstrated outstanding skill, tactical discipline, and resilience throughout the tournament.
It continued: “Team Bermuda delivered a series of compelling performances against top regional competition to capture the prestigious championship title. The victory marks a significant milestone in the national team's international road map and highlights the continued growth and development of Bermuda’s high-performance cricket framework.”
Lloyd Smith, BCB president and high-performance chair, said: “As the 2026 cricket season comes to a close, the BCB looks forward to 2027 with tremendous enthusiasm. The upcoming year promises to be one of the most exciting and historic in Bermudian sports history, featuring four major international tournaments — including two held on home soil.”
The tournaments are the 2027 North American Cricket Cup, in Bermuda; the 2027 Pan American Games, in Peru; the ICC U19 World Cup Qualifiers, in Bermuda; and the ICC Americas Final Qualifying Round, in Cayman Islands, where Bermuda will be competing for international qualification.
In its statement, the BCB said: “Alongside these high-profile international showcases, the BCB remains fully committed to delivering robust domestic programming, encompassing all of our grass roots, youth and senior men's competitions.”
