Warwick man stabbed at South Shore restaurant

A 34-year-old man was arrested in connection to a stabbing at a South Shore restaurant Friday night. According to a Police spokesman, a 30-year-old man was stabbed at The Swizzle in Warwick during an argument with another man.“Around 7.40pm on Friday, police responded to a reported disturbance at a South Road, Warwick restaurant,” the spokesman said. “It appears that a dispute occurred between two men on the premises and, as a result, one of the men was stabbed in the shoulder.“The suspect, a 34-year-old Sandys parish man was arrested at the scene. The victim has not made a formal complaint at this time, however inquiries into this incident are ongoing.”The victim, a 30-year-old Warwick man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial for treatment and later discharged.
