Police chief to speak at town hall meeting

Residents are invited to attend a town hall meeting with Commissioner of Police Michael DeSilva and a number of other high-ranking officers this week.

The meeting will be held at St Paul’s Centennial Hall on Thursday. Residents will be given the opportunity to ask about efforts to combat crime in Bermuda.

Said a police spokesman: “This event will give the public an opportunity to hear the current strategies that the police are using to tackle crime as well as ask any questions about policing in our community. Your voice matters and your perspective is important.”

Deputy Commissioner Mike Jackman and Assistant Commissioners Paul Wright, Antoine Daniels and David Mirfield will also be at the meeting.

Anyone interested in submitting a question can do so by e-mailing pmr@bps.bm.

The meeting is scheduled for 6.30pm in St Paul’s Centennial Hall at the corner of Court and Victoria Streets.
