Road crash sends cyclist to KEMH
A Southampton man was sent to hospital after his motorcycle and a taxi collided in Warwick.
The accident occurred around 8.30pm on Monday near the junction of Middle and Longford Roads.
Said a Police spokesman: “It appears that a motorcycle was being ridden along Middle Road and a taxi was being driven along the same road when the vehicles collided at the junction.
“The motorcyclist, a 47-year-old Southampton man, was initially believed to be seriously injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.
“However, after being medically examined, his injuries were deemed to be less serious.”
The spokesman continued: “Both vehicles were damaged and traffic was diverted away from the area while collision investigators examined the scene. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing.”
