Police Service issues burglaries warning

Police are warning central parish residents to be vigilant following a string of break-ins in the area.

A spokesman said a number of houses had been burgled in Devonshire, Pembroke and Paget in recent weeks.

“The public is advised to make sure all windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unoccupied, even for short periods of time.”

“Secure valuables out of sight, record serial numbers of all personal property and take pictures of possessions, especially electronic items and jewellery, so they can be identified if stolen.

“Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods to the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.”
