Hunt for gas station robbers continues

Police are still looking for three men who raided a Southampton gas station on Monday night brandishing knives and a firearm.

No one was injured in the robbery, but the suspects were able to escape with a quantity of cash.

A Police spokesman said: “Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the reported armed robbery that occurred around 8.40pm Monday, November 4 at Raynor’s Gas Station on Middle Road in Southampton where three unknown men gained entry into the premises.

“One of the men brandished what appeared to be a firearm while the other two men apparently brandished bladed articles.

“The three offenders were described as wearing dark coloured clothing and motorcycle helmets.”

Anyone with information about the robbery, or who may have seen people in the area acting suspiciously, are urged to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline, 800-8477.
