A teenager was injured shortly after 11am yesterday after an attack on Palmetto Road in Devonshire.

Police said the 19-year-old was set upon by three men, one of whom cut his hand with a bladed article. The group stole the man’s motorcycle and fled.

While the victim declined to make a police complaint, enquiries are ongoing.

The incident occurred by the junction with Frog Lane.

Police also reported a 23-year-old Southampton man was arrested after a bus driver was assaulted along Middle Road in Southampton, near Industrial Park Road, around 6.45pm on Thursday.

Police said the bus had stopped to let off passengers when the man, who had earlier spoken with the driver, assaulted him. A woman passenger came to the driver’s aid and the assailant left the bus.

The driver received only minor injuries and the suspect was arrested following a police search of the area.

A “suspected controlled drug” was also seized and a court appearance is expected.
