Man fails to stop for Police, crashes

A man who failed to stop for Police last night crashed into another motorcyclist before fleeing the scene on foot.

According to a police spokeswoman, at around 8.15pm officers were conducting inquiries in the area of Middle Road and Ord Road in Paget when they attempted to stop a male suspect on a motorcycle.

“The suspect failed to stop for Police and was subsequently involved in a collision with another motorcyclist,” the spokeswoman said. “The suspect fled the scene on foot and Police are actively seeking this man.

“No one involved in the collision was injured.”

Traffic was temporarily diverted from the area in the wake of the incident, however the spokeswoman said the investigation into the incident remains active.
