Police warned about daylight break-ins

A series of reports about break-ins in Warwick and Southampton have been received by police.

Many of the incidents occured during the day, particularly in the Middle Road and Lighthouse Hill areas, and homes close to the Railway Trail.

Police are advising residents to be on the lookout for suspicious persons lurking near their homes, and to keep houses secure at all times, with valuables kept in a safe or stored in a safety deposit box.

Cutting back overgrown vegetation near residences was also advised.
