Police have arrested a 38-year-old man accused of stabbing a neighbour in a fight over a kite.
“It appears that a 26-year-old Pembroke man and a 38-year-old Pembroke man — neighbours — had an altercation on a path between Stovell Bay Road and North Cote West over the flying of a kite, with the older man brandishing a bladed article,” said a police spokesman.
“The 26-year-old sustained a stab wound to his shoulder. However, the injury was superficial and he declined medical treatment.”
The incident happened at about 2.30pm yesterday in the Spanish Point area.
Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information that could help the inquiry to contact them.
