Police: armed robberies could be linked

Police have renewed a call for witnesses in the wake of two armed robberies just days apart.

The first happened in the parking lot of the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association, on Middle Road, Devonshire, at about 8.30pm on Sunday.

The second took place at Grannie’s Kitchen, on North Shore, Pembroke, at about 11am on Tuesday.

A police spokesman said: “While it cannot be confirmed that the two incidents are linked at this time, the possibility has not been ruled out.”

Witnesses are asked to contact police on 247-1744 or Crime Stoppers on 800-8477.
