Gun, drugs seized: Police arrest three

A total of three people were arrested and a gun and suspected drugs seized after a police raid today, a BPS spokesman confirmed last night.

The spokesman said officers armed with a search warrant searched a house on Curving Avenue in Pembroke for several hours.

He added: “A firearm and a quantity of ammunition were seized along with a quantity of suspected illegal drugs.”

He said that the operation started this afternoon and continued into tonight.

Wayne Caines, the national security minister, later confirmed there had been a firearms incident last night in the Jones Village area of Warwick and that it was being investigated by police.
