Motorcyclist breaches curfew

A motorcyclist led police on a chase after they spotted him breaking the curfew on Friday night.

The suspect was riding west on St John’s Road, Pembroke, at about 11pm when police asked him to stop.

He instead turned east on to Inland Lane, drove through the yard of a private residence and abandoned the bike before running off.

The man ran on to Moore’s Lane, where police used captor to catch him.

Officers said he could not provide a lawful excuse for breaching shelter in place. They also found a small plastic bag which was believed to contain cannabis resin.

He was further arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug and taken to Hamilton Police Station, where he received after care for captor deployment before being processed for detention.
