Police are investigating fake social media accounts claiming to belong to the Governor, Rena Lalgie.

A spokeswoman for Government House said: “Government House is aware of false social media accounts, specifically Facebook and Instagram, purporting to belong to the Governor, Her Excellency Rena Lalgie.

“The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) have been notified and are investigating.”

There are two social media accounts used by the Governor: the official Government House Facebook page: https://m.facebook.com/pg/GovtHouseBDA/posts/?ref=page_internal&mt_nav=0 and the official Government House Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/government_house_bda/.

“Anything other than these two official sites are fake,” said the spokeswoman.
