Appeal: Garrina Cann, 31 (File photograph)

Police today renewed a witness appeal on the first anniversary of the gun murder of 31-year-old woman.

Garrina Cann was celebrating a birthday with friends on the porch of her home when a gunman approached on foot and opened fire.

The killing at Ms Cann’s house on Sunset Pass, Pembroke, was watched by horrified friends and family.

Acting Detective Inspector Jason Smith, the lead investigator, said police were confident there were people who “know something about this shocking murder”.

He told them: “We urge you to come forward and help us catch her killers and bring them to justice.

“Rest assured, any information provided will be treated with the strictest confidence.”

Anyone with information that could help the inquiry should contact Detective Superintendent Nicholas Pedro on 717-0854 or Mr Smith on 717-0864.

The independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline is at 800-8477 or online here.
