Man arrested after stabbing leaves victim in ICU

A 58-year-old man has been arrested after a stabbing in St David’s.

A police spokeswoman said that shortly before 7.30pm on Sunday a 56-year-old man went to Southside Police Station to report that he had been stabbed near the scrapyard in the Southside area of St David’s.

The spokeswoman added: “The victim was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries, where he remains in ICU. However, his condition is not known at this time.

“A short while later, a 58-year-old man was arrested and detained in connection with this incident.”

Anyone with information about the stabbing is urged to call the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1744 or 211 as soon as possible.
