Police raid nets cash and suspected cocaine

A police raid netted a suspected haul of cocaine and drug equipment on Wednesday.

A spokesman said cash was also seized in the raid on a house in Deepdale Road, Pembroke as part of the service’s crime-busting Operation Sole.

Inspector Shakisha Minors of the tactical operations division said: “In keeping with the Bermuda Police Service’s continued efforts aimed at making Bermuda safer, this enforcement activity was in support of Operation Sole - to detect and disrupt criminal activity in affected areas and reduce violent crime.”

The spokesman added that anyone with information on crime in their area should contact 211 or the main police number at 295 0011.

People can also use the independent, confidential and anonymous Crime Stoppers hotline at 800 8477 or talk to a police officer they know.
