Police yesterday renewed calls for information about the murder of Clarke Fox on the third anniversary of the killing.

Mr Fox was fatally shot in a daylight shooting on Court Street on the afternoon of March 17, 2020, while a second man, Kyari Flood, was wounded.

A police spokesman said: “The two suspects were on a dark coloured motorcycle. The rider was wearing a light coloured sweat top, blue jeans, multicoloured sneakers, gloves and a dark coloured full faced helmet.

“The passenger was wearing a dark coloured jacket, dark coloured pants, dark sneakers, a white helmet with tinted full faced visor and was in possession of a firearm.”

The spokesman said the suspects were on a motorcycle travelling south on Court Street when the pillion passenger fired multiple shots at Mr Fox and Mr Flood, who were standing near the junction of Court Street and Elliot Street.

“The two victims ran south on Court Street towards Dundonald Street, as the suspect vehicle pursued them and the passenger continued to discharge the weapon in their direction.

“In an attempt to flee the shooter, Mr Fox and Mr Flood turned around and ran north on Court Street, heading back towards Elliot Street.

“The suspect motorcycle turned around and continued to pursue Mr Fox and Mr Flood, with the pillion passenger continuing to discharge the firearm in the direction of the two victims.

“The suspects then made good their escape on the dark coloured motorcycle, travelling west on Elliot Street, leaving the area.”

In the wake of the shooting, but victims were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where Mr Fox succumbed to his injuries.

Acting Detective Chief Inspector Jason Smith, the senior investigating officer, said: “This incident occurred at 2.45pm, the middle of the afternoon, on a busy street that contains multiple residences and businesses.

“There were people on the street and patrons inside businesses that had to take cover to avoid being shot.

“The suspect discharged the firearm indiscriminately, which resulted in the fatal shooting of Clarke Fox and the wounding of Kyari Flood.”

Last month police launched a murder investigation after Mr Flood’s body was found kin an isolated location off Border Lane South and Friswells Road in Pembroke.

Anyone with information about the murder are urged to contact Mr Smith by calling the Serious Crime Unit at 717-0864, or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline, 800-8477.
