Appeal for witnesses after police station door smashed

Police have appealed for witnesses after someone damaged the Hamilton Police Station entrance at the weekend.

The incident happened at about 9.30pm on Saturday when a person attended the station and broke one of the glass doors. The suspect arrived and left on foot along Victoria Street.

A police spokesman said the scene was processed the same night and that CCTV footage had been reviewed.

Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity outside the police station at about the time of the damage is asked to call Pc George Edmead on 211 or e-mail gedmead@bps.bm.
