Man arrested for threatening another with a knife

A man was arrested on suspicion of threatening another man with a knife in Hamilton Parish yesterday morning.

Police received reports of the incident in the area of Cottage Hill Road at about 9.45am.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said: “Officers responded and, acting on information provided, attended a Cottage Hill Road residence where a 46-year-old male suspect was arrested for making threats as well as committal warrants.

“While being transported by patrol car to the Hamilton Police Station, the subject reported having difficulty breathing.

“Officers stopped the police vehicle in the vicinity of the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo, North Shore Road, Flatts Village and rendered first aid.

“The officers’ actions provided relief to the subject.

“EMTs attended the location and transported the suspect to KEMH for further treatment.”
