Police are appealing for witnesses to a firearms incident yesterday when the potential target is believed to have eluded two would-be assailants.

A statement from the Bermuda Police Service said a person was seated in a parked car during the incident, which happened shortly after 10.30am in the Alexandra Road area in Devonshire.

The person in the car was “thankfully” not injured, police said.

An investigation, which is the second incident involving a firearm on the island in less than two weeks, has begun.

Officers are interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen two people leaving the area on a black-and-red motorcycle at about the time of the attempted shooting.
