A police investigation has been launched after a serious assault at the Hamilton Parish Workman’s Club last month.

The Criminal Investigations Unit is conducting the investigation into a report that a 47-year-old man was seriously assaulted at about 1.30am on Saturday, March 28.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said: “Officers were able to obtain footage of the incident that was circulated on social media and noted that other persons were present when the assault occurred and would have witnessed what transpired.”

Police are asking anyone who may have recorded the incident, or who may have pertinent information but has not yet reached out to authorities, to call Acting Detective Inspector Seymour Foote on 247-1154 or 717-2282, or e-mail sfoote@bps.bm.

They may also call the main police numbers, 295-0011 or 211, use the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477, or speak in person to an officer they know.
