Police confirm shots fired near Southampton club

Shots rang out near Southampton Rangers Sports Club this evening, but a police spokeswoman has said there have been no injuries reported.
She said that at about 10.15pm, officers were dispatched to reports of several gunshots near the Southampton club.
“Officers arrived at the scene shortly afterwards and discovered forensic evidence suggesting that a firearm had been discharged. At this time, there have been no reported injuries.
“There were a number of people attending an event at Rangers at the time of the incident.”
Police are urging anyone who may have information relating to this matter to contact 211 at the earliest opportunity.
