Police have urged anyone with information about the murder of Jahcari Francis to come forward as the island marked the ninth anniversary of his fatal shooting.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said that Mr Francis, 20, was shot inside a home on Upland Street, Devonshire, shortly after 11pm on July 19, 2017.

“Detectives investigating the murder of Mr Francis are renewing their appeal for relevant information in relation to this matter,” he added.

“We are particularly keen to hear from residents who may have seen any suspicious individuals or vehicles in the area of Upland Street, Devonshire, prior to or after this crime was committed.

“Community involvement is crucial to bringing the perpetrators of this crime to justice. All information received will be treated in the strictest confidence.”

Anyone with information about the crime was encouraged to call the serious crime unit on 247-1739.
