Mayho and Estwanik lead way

Mayho won the male open category

Madison riders Dominique Mayho and Ashley Estwanik won the male and female open categories of the Bank of Bermuda Foundation Time Trial Championships at Southside at the weekend.

Tyler Butterfield, Bermuda’s top male triathlete, made a rare appearance in a local road race, placing third overall.

Mayho clocked a time of 43min, 11.267sec to beat Anthony Bartley (45:43.702) and Butterfield (46:08.830) while Adam Kirk was fourth overall in 46:47.012.

Estwanik, competing as a master, led open pair Nicole Mitchell and Zoenique Williams, after clocking 42:00.496.

Winners Edge riders occupied the next three places among the women, with Mitchell second in 42:55.044 and Williams third in 43:18.847 while Louise Wells, a master, was fourth overall and second master in 44:59.306.

NatWest Island Games team members Matthew Oliveira, Kaden Hopkins and Alyssa Rowse all competed as juniors, with Oliveira first in 28:13.838 while Hopkins was second in 28:21.640 and Conor White third in 31:45.973.

Rowse, was first junior female in 32:57.692.

Tommy Marshall was the male winner in the 13-14 junior category with a time of 26:22.230 while Caleb Ingham was second in 27:33.475 and Alexander Miller third in 28:25.631.

Megan Hands was the top 13-14 female, clocking 34:36.607.

Blake Oliveira won the 11-12 boys title in 18:31.009, while Jasmin Hasselkuss won the girls 11-12 in 22:16.004. Jake Smith took the 10 and under category in 11:18.875, with Rory Fleming close behind in 11:19.531.

Charlotte Millington claimed the girls 10 and under in 12:10.452.
