Eight cyclists ride for Bermuda at Caribbean Championships

Bermuda’s medal winners at the 2025 Caribbean Championships

The Bermuda Bicycle Association has named eight riders to represent Bermuda at the 2026 Caribbean Elite & U23 Road Cycling Championships this weekend.

The team will compete in individual time trials in Dominican Republic on Saturday followed by road races on Sunday as the regional championships celebrate their 25th edition.

Bermuda head into the weekend looking to build on last year’s four-medal haul in Belize, where Nicholas Narraway won elite men’s time trial gold, with Conor White taking silver. Gabriella Arnold earned bronze in the women’s time-trial and silver in the road race.

BBA President and team manager Peter Dunne said Bermuda’s longstanding success provides a strong foundation for this year’s campaign.

“Bermuda has participated in all but one of these and has won more medals from the junior and elite events than any other country,” Dunne said.

“I’m confident that our team this year will continue to build on our reputation as a cycling country and leader in the Caribbean.

“This year we have a full men’s team of five riders, giving us a good chance of securing the coveted elite men’s road race title. Our women’s team of three gives us more depth than prior years and will allow for more team tactics to be a part of the strategy. Our riders have already demonstrated their abilities in the time trial event, giving us some confidence going into Saturday’s TT.”

Kaden Hopkins and Narraway, who recently took part at the World Championships in Montreal, will compete in both events at the Championships, with White, Dominique Mayho and Alexander Miller joining them in the road race.

Arnold will compete in the time-trial and will be joined by Panzy Olander in the road race. Charlotte Millington will participate in both races in the under-23 division.
