Injured minibus driver released from hospital

A minibus driver who was hurt when his vehicle crashed into a wall on Middle Road in Warwick yesterday has been released from hospital.

The incident happened at about 11.20am near the junction with Belmont Hills Drive.

The 65-year-old driver was taken by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment to his injuries and was later discharged.

Traffic was disrupted for more than an hour while the crash scene was analysed by police.

The vehicle blocked off part of both lanes and traffic was diverted along Ord Road and Keith Hall Road.

According to a spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service, the minibus was being driven in the westbound lane of Middle Road when it struck the sidewalk and a wall.

Police asked witnesses to call 211.
