A “serious” collision between a car and a motorcycle, just east of Somerset Bridge, Sandys, was reported by police shortly after 7pm last night.

Drivers were warned to expect a significant wait while the scene was processed. Motor traffic was fully cleared to pass at around 10.30pm

A police spokesman urged motorists to avoid travelling through the area to help minimise delays — and said the public would be advised once the road was clear.
