Knapton Hill road closed off after a serious collision

A major road in Smith’s was closed off after a serious collision ended in life-threatening injuries.
Details were limited as of 6.45pm, but a police spokesman confirmed the incident involved a micro rental car and a motorcycle that collided at the junction of Knapton Hill and South Road.
The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment to injuries that were considered life-threatening.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area as it is processed and to travel through Harrington Sound Road instead.
