A man was injured after a three-vehicle collision in Paget on Friday.

A police spokesman said the man appeared to have lost control of his car while driving west on South Road, near the entrance to Bermuda College, at about 1.30pm.

The man collided with a truck after swerving into the eastbound lane, causing the truck to strike a pedestrian crossing light.

The spokesman said: “After the initial collision, the car continued out of control, swerved across the roadway and collided with a roadside wall along the eastbound lane.”

A second truck that was also heading east could not stop in time and also collided with the car.

The car driver sustained minor facial injuries in the collision, but neither truck driver was reportedly injured.

Traffic was diverted from the area, westbound motorists travelled onto College Road and eastbound drivers were redirected to Middle Road via Southcote Road and Ord Road, for 90 minutes while police processed the scene.
