Motorist injured in Paget collision
Traffic was affected in Paget early this following a two-vehicle collision in Paget, police said.
Around 4.25am, officers and other first responders attended the scene of the incident which involved a taxi and a motor car, on South Road, near the junction with Harvey Road in Paget.
A police spokesman said both drivers were reported to be conscious and alert.
However, he said the motor car driver sustained a leg injury, the extent of which was unknown.
He was taken by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The taxi driver was not reported to have suffered any injuries.
Traffic in the area was blocked, with westbound traffic diverted along South Road, then onto Southcote Road.
Eastbound traffic was diverted from South Road, onto Cobbs Hill Road.
Witnesses to the collision are asked to call the main police number, 295-0011.
