41-year-old man injured in Pembroke crash

A man was in the Intensive Care Unit this morning after a serious crash that took place at about midnight.

A police spokesman said that at about 12.01am today, police received reports of a serious road traffic incident on Happy Valley Road in Pembroke, near Tribe Road Number 3.

He added: “Police, Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service as well as ambulance personnel responded.

“Details are limited at this time, however, initial information indicates that an injured motorcyclist, understood to be a 41-year-old Devonshire man, was found lying semi-conscious in the roadway with a damaged motorcycle nearby.

“EMTs treated the injured man at the scene. He was then transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, for further medical care.”
