Motorist seriously hurt in collision

A motorist is believed to have sustained a serious head injury during a collision in Pembroke this evening.
A police spokesman said two motorcycles collided at the junction of Bishop Spencer Road and Palmetto Road and that one rider was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The roadway is blocked and eastbound traffic is being diverted on to Roberts Avenue and westbound traffic along St Monica’s Road.
Motorists should approach these points with caution and follow officers’ instructions at these locations.
