The board of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce felt that the decision to part ways with executive director Diane Gordon was in the best interests of the Chamber and its members.That is according to Chamber president Stephen Todd, who said that the Chamber was now focused on filing the position following Ms Gordon’s announced departure on Thursday.“In the interim, we want to reassure our members and the general public that all programmes will continue as usual,” he said. “The Chamber has a dedicated team of professionals, both volunteer and paid, that will ensure the success of our programmes until a suitable replacement is found.”On the subject of the reason behind her departure, he said: “The Chamber will not entertain or respond to any speculation as to the reason for Ms Gordon’s departure.”
