Warwick Academy posts best IGCSE results in school’s history

Warwick Academy’s Fiona Dobson achieved nine passes at A* the top grade in IGCSE examinations.

Warwick Academy students have obtained their best IGCSE results in the school’s history, Principal Maggie McCorkell announced.Ms McCorkell reported a 100 percent pass rate in eight and more subjects.Each of the students sat a minimum of eight exams, which in each case included English, Mathematics, a science and a humanities subject.Marking another first for the school, students Fiona Dobson and Daniel Hetzel each achieved nine passes at A* — the exam’s top grade.Ms McCorkell added that 93 percent of the students passed with grades A* through C in five and more subjects ­— including in each case English, Mathematics, a science, a foreign language and a humanities subject.“Of special note is that 36 percent of all the grades were at the A* and A grade,” she said.Graydon Flatt was commended for taking eight A* passes and one A, followed by Olivia Moore with seven A* and two A passes.Pheobe Dill received five A* and four A passes. Riley Correia had four A*, four A and one B grade.Kristina Grant had five A*, three A and one B grade; Janaya Hall, four A*, three A, one B and one C grade; Erica Furbert, four A*, three A, and two B grades; Noah Marshall, three A*, five A and one B grade, and Tabytha Hofheins received nine A passes.
