Botanical Society hands out awards

Two scholarships of $5,000 have been awarded by the Bermuda Botanical Society.

The newly-created Edward Manuel Scholarship was awarded to Shane Antonition, who is about to start his final year of BSc (Hons) Environmental Science at Plymouth University in Britain. The presentation was made by Mr Manuel's widow, Marian.

The annual BBS scholarship was won by Amber Reid, who is going into her second year at Northeastern University, Boston. Amber is also studying Environmental Science.
