Bermuda Is Love announces two paid summer internship spaces
A social justice charity is offering paid summer internships to two young people who wish to participate in advocacy and change.
Bermuda Is Love’s interns will work in-person at the charity’s law office on 38 Union Street in Hamilton.
Participants will explore social problems such as housing and food stability, healthcare, education, along with environmental and economic justice in Bermuda.
The internship offer comes after the charity launched a $5,000 scholarship for two Bermudians who were accepted to, or are enrolled in, an associate undergraduate, postgraduate or technical programme.
Interns will participate in workshops, community visits and advocacy campaigns while doing volunteer work and media projects.
The programme will pay $21.43 an hour and run on weekdays between 9am and 5pm from July 13 to July 24.
The internship is open to high school pupils, university students, recent graduates and young people in general. No prior experience is required.
Prospective candidates can submit a short statement of interest, basic contact information or a CV and, optionally, any relevant experience to info@bermudaislove.com.
The application deadline is June 30.
