Free City Hall lunchtime concert this weekend

Passers-by in Hamilton will be treated to a pop-up concert by the Tino Martinez Quintet this weekend.

The band will perform on the steps of City Hall as part of the Department of Culture’s Creatives Live! concert series.

All performances are recorded and broadcast on CITV and the department’s YouTube page.

A spokeswoman for the department said that the concert series had proved popular with the public.

The Tino Martinez Quintet will perform from 12.30pm to 1.30pm on Saturday.

The public was asked to stick to Covid-19 guidelines and use social distancing.

The lunchtime performance is one of several activities the Department of Culture has planned for Heritage Month.

Creatives Live! started earlier this year and was designed to spotlight Bermudian talent.

The programme has already featured island stars such as Joy T Barnum and The Unit Band.

For more information about Creatives Live! contact Graham Mawer, the department’s cultural liaison and development officer, at 292-1681 or by e-mail to gsmawer@gov.bm.
