Popular US TV show to broadcast from Bermuda
A popular US morning television programme is set to return to the island for two shows this month.
Today with Hoda and Jenna is set to broadcast two shows from The Loren, including a live broadcast on September 21 and a taped broadcast the next day.
An NBC spokeswoman said: “Hoda & Jenna’s Trippin’ travel series will take them to the iconic shores at The Loren at Pink Beach hotel.
“Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager’s ‘Bermuda Bash’ will explore the island's breathtaking pink sands and turquoise water and experience the local culture, style and cuisine.”
The shows will also spotlight local talent including Bermudian singer and songwriter Mishka, who will perform on the show.
Viewers will also be able to enter to win an opportunity to win a Bermuda trip including a four-night stay at The Loren and seats at the live show.
The Bermuda trip was formally announced on the show this week.
Ms Kotb said: “We are going to enjoy all of the cuisine, the shopping, the nightlife that Bermuda has to offer including a performance by reggae sensation Mishka.”
The Today show previously visited the island in 2017 in the lead-up to the America’s Cup when Ms Kotb was joined by then cohost Kathy Lee Gifford for two episodes broadcast from the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club.
That show also featured interviews with celebrated Bermudian actor Michael Douglas; Chris Flook and Jeremy Madeiros who discussed Bermuda’s wildlife; a fashion display featuring TABS Bermuda shorts; and videos highlighting a range of attractions including Gibbs Hill Lighthouse and Horseshoe Bay.
