A mobile network business turned its upper office space into a pop-up exhibition for teenagers’ art pieces.

Masterworks Museum will run an exhibition for the final works of those in their summer programme Sculpture in Practice: A Summer Intensive for Teens.

The class was led by sculptor Katarina Hoskins with the museum and sponsor Paradise Mobile for youngsters aged between 13 and 19.

“This exhibition celebrates the willingness of these young artists to take creative risks, learn new skills and express themselves through sculpture,” Ms Hoskins said.

She added: “We are thrilled to partner with Paradise Mobile to give these students a central, public space to display their hard work.

“It offers visitors a wonderful opportunity to experience the diverse ideas and personal voices developed over the course of the intensive.”

The two-week intensive encouraged the teenagers to practise with several different materials including clay, plaster, wire and resin.

Brett Corday, the chief revenue officer of Paradise Mobile, said the company was proud to sponsor the programme as technology and art shared “the same DNA”.

He explained: “Both require out-of-the-box thinking, bold experimentation and the willingness to see the world from a different perspective.”

The free showcase will run in the second floor of Paradise Mobile’s Reid Street location.

Members of the public were encouraged to visit the exhibition before it closes on August 29.
