Anger over ‘eyesore’ on beach
Created: Aug 26, 2015 09:00 AM
An abandoned refrigerator has led to complaints at Cavello Bay, Somerset.
One resident, who asked not to be named, told The Royal Gazette: “The residents of Cavello Bay are very upset and concerned.
“Some exceedingly uncaring person has discarded an old fridge on our beautiful shoreline. It is an eyesore that we have to live with every day.
“What would prompt someone to do such a thing? It is unconscionable.
“They could've taken it somewhere else instead of putting it in our backyard.
“If you can pick it up and put it here, why couldn't they have taken it to the dump?”
The Bermuda Government said it was looking into the situation.
